Dr. Joran Proot is a distinguished book historian. He lectures on the history of graphic design, design theory, and typographic evolution at Sint Lucas Antwerp and on analytical bibliography at the National Superior School of Information Science and Libraries in France. 

He serves as the curator of the Cultura Fonds in Dilbeek. Previously, he worked as a curator at the University Library of Antwerp, the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC, and the Bibliothèque Mazarine in Paris.
