Artist Name
Alicia Canary
Art Image
Red, yellow, and blue akua ink scribbled and sketched over a cut-out sheet of mathematical tables.

This piece from Alicia Canary reminds us all that memories are just as ephemeral and precious as the papers we write them on.

Artist's Statement: "Recently I visited with a friend and artist whose recent memories are washing away. Painting is too difficult for her now but we sketched together with some brush pens. For this month's project the most recent sketch that my friend made was my guide. I made these monotypes with akua inks on reclaimed paper from a book of mathematical tables."
