Artist Name
Judy Tobie
Art Image
A light blue square of paper made from beaten bleached flax with green, blue, and orange floral patterns drawn across in paint pen over top of pigment blooming.

This beautiful piece from Judy Tobie highlights the ability of artists to make wonder and joy out of "accidents"!

Artist's Statement: "Pigmenteed 4 hour beaten bleached flax dried under restraint, paint pen. I struggled with this exchange. After the fact, I realized I should have been using a short fiber pulp for stenciling , the pulp paint I had been gifted bled & the first batch buckled in my drying box. Hence the decision to 'decorate' in an attempt to disguise the pigment blooming!"
