Karmena Ozola
This diamond-shaped piece is made from multiple layers of handmade recycled paper, handmade natural dyes, and watercolors. The front of the piece is made up of two triangles facing each other, with each layer being either navy, green, yellow, blue, and black. The back is the same pattern, but the layers are instead bright yellow, speckled blue, burnt umber, green, and orange. There is a loop of Lana Grossa yarn in a hole on the right.

A visually engaging piece from Karmena Ozola, this piece recalls the duality and "shifts" of everyday life, and encourages us to examine the spaces in-between
