Paper Craft Fundamentals is a hands-on workshop that introduces participants to essential techniques in paper-based art practices, including cutting, folding, scoring, rolling, weaving, and layering. Through guided demonstrations and self-directed experimentation, participants will develop a foundational understanding of these processes while exploring their potential for variation, combination, and personal expression.

The workshop is inspired by The Craft of Paper: Contemporary Takes on Tradition, an exhibition that examines how artists today are reinterpreting established paper craft techniques within contemporary art and design contexts. By the end of the workshop, they will have developed new technical skills as well as a deeper understanding of how paper-based practices continue to expand within contemporary creative fields. All materials provided and all skill levels welcome.
