Per Georgia Tech guidelines, visitors who have not received a COVID-19 vaccine are strongly encouraged to wear a mask while participating in museum programming. Hand sanitizer is available for use.
We reserve the right to alter and cancel workshops in order to protect public safety based on recommendations from Georgia Institute of Technology, the Georgia Department of Public Health and the American Alliance of Museums. All participants will be notified in a timely manner of any changes to the program.
About Production Papermaking
Experience "production" papermaking as your group experiences how handmade paper was made for hundreds of years. Learn proper papermaking techniques, how to use a mold and deckle, how to press and prepare papers for drying. Participants will create a minimum of 15 sheets of paper in a variety of sizes
If you are looking for our Paperworks program that is a combination of a 45 minute tour of the museum and a 45 minute hands-on papermaking experience it can be found on the tour page under the learn tab. Please click here to visit the Paperworks page.
