Ever wanted to make your own book? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the art of mini book crafting—from folding and binding to adding your personal creative touches. Using colorful papers and simple techniques, you’ll design a pocket-sized book that’s perfect for notes, doodles, or gifting. All materials provided. 

This workshop is for Georgia Tech Students, Staff, and Faculty. Located in the Georgia Tech Library, Crosland G120 Wilby Classroom.

Join Tech’s Tactile Thursday workshop with guest artist Jasmin Warnock where participants will come together to create a large-scale collaborative community garden relief print. This workshop will be a part of the  ImagiNATION Arts and Culture Festival with Georgia Tech Arts.

Join us for this workshop to explore an early type of camera-less photography called a cyanotype. Use fabric pre-coated with a mixture of chemicals, the power of the sun, and plants to create your own. Participants will also learn about the history of cyanotypes from the technique’s invention, its first photographic use, to paper artists who create beautiful pieces of artwork in this style. All materials provided. This workshop is for Georgia Tech Students, Staff, and Faculty. Located in the Price Gilbert Library, AirSpace room 2222.

Georgia Tech students, faculty and staff, learn the basics of watercolor to create a koi pond. Participants will learn how to apply washes and layers to create a one-of-a-kind work of art. Starting with learning different techniques to create the look you want, participants will do a simple sketch and use the techniques to develop the painting.  All skill levels welcome and all materials provided. Georgia Tech students, faculty and staff, pop into this workshop where you can explore different techniques to make pictures leap off the page.  Participants will learn about the engineering behind the jack and the box pop-up and then make their own kinetic card. Connect to others by sending your card to a friend to say hello with a “pop”. Georgia Tech students, faculty and staff, light-up your space with your own handmade tea-light lanterns. Participants will have the opportunity to make two origami lanterns: the lotus blossom and star lantern. Learn how to fold translucent decorative paper into beautiful creations and then add tea lights to make them shine! This workshop is for Georgia Tech students, faculty and staff only. Quilling is a historic paper craft in which strips of paper are twirled, spun, and combined to create beautiful, dimensional works. Come clip, snip, and cut your way through a hands-on workshop focused on paper cutting. Discover how to create your own delicate designs using two simple materials: paper and a blade! In this workshop, we will explore historic Mexican paper cutting traditions, used in celebrations for, Dia de Muertos, Day of the Dead. These “Papel Picado,” or punched papers often feature patterns of skull and are placed around altars.
