Bleached abaca, ink, black thread; western style sheet forming 

"Social Machinery" is a small pen-and-ink drawing that combines the charateriscs of pen-and-ink and embroidery to great success. The repeated hand drawn nude female figures standing with their heads down each have a full head of hair created by stitched threads. The see-through nature of the bleached abaca allows the threads to be visible through the paper so that the "social machinery" is visible as the threads come together to dramatic effect beyond the paper's edge.

Abaca paper (hollander beater, western style), cotton thread 

"Significant Locations" painstakingly creates a map by drawing with black thread and enclosing it within tanslucent naturally colored Abaca paper.

Mount Holyoke College 

Using pulp created from the clothes of transgender individuals, "Dysphoria" is an installation of a cast paper head and armless torso with breast that appears to be crumbling or dissipating down the wall into little paper pieces scattered about on the floor. 

Dryer lint, screenprint, cardboard, found wire, gray t-shirts 

"Reassembled in the USA" mimics a retail clothing store display with two levels of shirts and a high-reach garment hook. The gray shirt on the bottom level is a cotton t-shirt and the gray shirt on the top level is a paper shirt made from recycled t-shirts. Both shirts feature a white logo that appears to be an "up" arrow with a flaming head figure wearing a t-shirt and two cupped hands at the base.

Laser cut on handmade paper 

"T-strap" is a pair of lacey, lasercut high heels. The vibrant colors of the shoes blend from sky blue to violet to pink on the heel and strap, and the base of the shoe overlaps red and gold cut-out patterns. 

Pigmented abaca formed around cardboard boxes 

"Boxes" is an installation that casts the ubiquitous shipping box as life-size pigmented abaca skins arranged as a pile of discarded open boxes.

Handmade paper, woodblock print, screenprint  

"Forgotten Identity" is a striking 30' handmade paper panel that has been woodblock printed and screenprinted. At first glance, the paper appears black but closer inspection reveals a red underside and small colored details. The panel drapes down from the ceiling, unfurling into a circular form on the floor where small cast paper figures of women interact with one another and the panel as it undulates on the floor.

High shrinkage abaca over bra moulds 

"Delicates" is a celebration of diversity through high-shrinkage abaca casts of bras. Eight bras in the natural beige of the abaca hang like discarded skins in two rows of four. Each bra suggests a different chest size and type of bra. The high shrinkage of the bras results in curled and expressive bra straps.

Hand pigmented Over beaten Abaca Pours on Handmade Abaca Sheets 

"Coral Conundrum" is a colorful pulp painted tryptich of 22"x30" sheets of over-beaten, poured abaca. The abstract pours of yellows, fuschias, oranges, and greens create coral-like fingers of color. The sheet on the left is created on a base sheet of peach, the middle sheet a vibrant pink, and the right base sheet a coral pink. The sheets are hung unframed to reveal the cockle and curl of the natural edges of each paper.

Unbeaten Kozo cast on wooden chair 

"Chair" presents a skeletal chair form made from cast unbeaten kozo. The lace-like network of the unbeaten kozo creates the illusion of a delicate natural mesh that defies gravity and has grown into the form of a chair.
